A cat watches a festive procession meander through the rice paddies with Mount Fuji in the background of the Japanese landscape. This vase reproduces a portion of Hiroshige's painting series One Hundred Famous View of Edo. These woodcuts were highly praised by the Impressionist including Van Gogh and Monet.
